BANGSAR Toastmasters Club, chartered in December 2000, started at 'Life Source Cafe' (courtesy of Victor & Kryste, husband-wife team and owners) at Lucky Garden, Bangsar.
The next venue was 'Silva Mind Control Centre' (courtesy of Lily Soh) at Bangsar Utama, followed by at 'Bangsar Lutheran Church' (curtsey of Sivin Kit, fondly called The Pastor!).
For the next 2 years the club held its meetings at 'The Hotel Grand Paradise', Brickfields.
Briefly we met at 'Brickfields RT', before moving to 'BIS' Center, Bangsar Utama (courtesy of Ranjit Singh).
Our next venue was 'Pelita Hati', Art Gallery (Jalan Abdullah). After a year we had to leave because the art exhibitions clashed with meeting dates/times.
We tried for a few months 'KG Cafe', Jalan KEMUJA, off Jalan Bangsar, BANGSAR.
Since 18th Sept 2007, BANGSAR TM Club has its sessions at 'BIS' Center, Bangsar Utama.
My appreciations to my friends who without any hesitation extended their hands in friendship and allowed me to have the club hosted at these venues.
My appreciations also to Eugene Chen, with whom I had the pleasure of working together in the Division C Council, he as Div C Governor. History wont be complete if I did not mention A. C. Fong, President 2004-2005 & Tang Sum Chee, President 2002-2003, both from Telekom Malaysia Toastmasters Club who joined me in this journey since 2000!
I have enjoyed the Toastmasters Journey at various stages, serving all levels, from Club to Area, to Division and to District 51)!
It is my hope that I shall continue to serve Toastmasters till the Almighty permits!
This is 'private humor' - At Life Source Cafe we developed physically, at the Silva Mind Centre mentally; at the Lutheran Church Spiritually, and we went for 2 years in Paradise! Briefly we tried developing Finanacially (at BIS). It was only natural to include Art in our development. Since life can't be sustained otherwise, we hope to further develope Financially here at our current venue, BIS!
